Re: ASSL Trades the Wizard

John Anderson

Ozzie Smith is currently on my bench and wasted for now due to the presence of Yount.  Looking to move him for comparable value.  Especially looking for starting pitching this year and a shortstop for 1995 on.  If you’re a contender I probably can’t use your draft picks unless they’re packaged with something else:  he has 66-67 bWAR remaining including 45 offensive WAR and a 10 at ss almost every year.  WAR probably overvalues him a bit APBA-wise because a 10 doesn’t really reflect how incredible he was in the field, so I’m willing to adjust that value down.

I can’t take credit for building this team, but there must have been some down times and the previous owner made some great moves with some high picks.

Re: ASSL Draft: Inquiry...

Fine, no problem at all. We don't have any hard rules against trading picks. You can trade your 2022 first round pick if you can find somebody to take it.

The only time I'll step in is if we have a Ted Stepien type situation or someone who is clearly going to trade all of his assets for one year and then leave. Had that in the EBL league/Paul's league with one guy and that's the team you now have.

ASSL '81: Trade

Steven Galbraith

New Orleans sends Dennis Lamp and Bruce Berenyi to Bayou City for the Bomber's first round pick in 1982. New c-file including trade attached. Or you can just move the two to Bayou City and keep previous file.

ASSL '81; Lamp and Berenyi Available

Steven Galbraith

NO is still re-building. Dennis Lamp - a 15/17 with about 170 adjusted innings - and Bruce Berenyi (12W) are available.

Both have some future: Berenyi's a 12YG next year with 222 innings. Lamp is a bit up and down but has about 10 years left, mostly as a long reliever. I can include the lefty Easterly if you want to build your pen.

Looking for pick(s).

ASSL Draft: Hamilton Up, NO on Deck

New c-file attached. Also backup file in case of an error. Not sure what the error is but I've had that happen before.
