1979 ASSL World Series New Orleans vs Silver City Game 7
JOHN CAMPBELL
World Series is tied 3-3. Game 7: Craig Swan(NO) vs Jerry Koosman(SC) New Orleans opens the scoring in the first. Ken Griffey singles and scores on Ted Simmons homerun. New Orleans scores again in the 3rd. Ken Griffey scores on a double play ball from Jim Rice. 3-0 New Orleans. Silver City doesn't get their first hit until Fred Lynn's single in the bottom of the 4th. New Orleans Craig Swan is cruising until the 7th. Swan walks Hal McRae and Fred Lynn hits a 2-run shot to make the score New Orleans 3-2. Swan is pulled after 7 innings. He gave up only 2 hits, 1 walk and struck out 8. Mike Marshall comes in for New Orleans. Marshall pitches a perfect 8th. Onto the 9th we go. New Orleans does not score. Silver City to bat in the bottom of the 9th down 3-2. Terry Crowley leads off, pinch hitting for Dave Cash. Crowley doubles. Pinch runner Junior Kennedy is sent in to put some wheels on the bases. Kennedy is then picked off second. Huge play, 1 out. Next hitter Lou Brock singles followed by a single by Hal McRae. First and 3rd, 1 out. Fred Lynn up. Fred Lynn doubles over Dan Ford's head. Brock scores to tie the game. Hal McRae is also trying to score, Throw by Ford is dropped by Ted Simmons as McRae jars the ball loose. Simmons picks up the error and Silver City has the walk off winner in Game 7 to win the World Series. Congrats to Steven on a great team, great series and great season. I have attached the f-file for game 7 as well as the script. We can now move onto 1980. Thanks Steven for running the league as always. John

Re: Post Season Format Poll
Harpers Ferry will listen to offers for its vote in this poll. Eighth-round draft pick oughta do it. ;)

We need to replace two owners; so I need to get that done before we go much further. Also, any rule changes/proposals need to be submitted before we draft.
