Re: ASSL Draft: Floridians for Trade

Thomas Battiato

I appreciate your response, Scott.

My problem with Householder is that I don't think he would make my 20 man roster after this season and would have to be cut. In that case, I am better off with Hurdle.

I just did a cursory look at your roster, but most of your guys are too good for Hurdle, unless there is someone else you want who I can add to him for an upgrade on your end. Then, you have a few facing the same problem as Householder in that they wouldn't make the 30 man roster after this year.

If you have someone else in mind I will definitely consider it.

I was a big Hurdle fan even before he was on Sports Illustrated, as I lived in Omaha then and watched him play for the Royals AAA team. Nonetheless, it is best if I move him now to someone who can use him more than me.

Would you consider your a 3rd round pick, which is usually a 1-2 year player or a backup, for Hurdle? It would even be best if it was next year's pick rather than this year. It wouldn't cost you anything for this year while gaining Hurdle's great card, and would give me someone for '83, which is my next target year.

Thanks again.

Tom

John Butcher, 14xz, MBF 184
