Distinquish between Heard By, Hearing, Packet
PGH <phurla1@...>
Right clicking on stations shows the attached box. What is the distinction between Heard By, Hearing, and Packet, and what is each line showing? I assume Packet is the Packet path. Also, which of these stations Igated. Wiki indicates the station with the * is the igating station. Paul W0PGH-10

HeardBy: the path component that is first used in a parsed packet. This would be the station (or alias) that likely hears the station direct. If no components are used, then the iGate likely copied the station direct. Hearing: all stations whose packets have been heard by the station you're looking at. This may include digipeated packets, I'm not sure without looking at the source. Packet: the path of the most recent packet copied from that
station. Lynn (D) - KJ4ERJ - Author of APRSISCE

PS. When looking at some of these
pop-up text dialogs, a Control-C (for Copy) will put the text into
the clipboard instead of capturing an image of the window.
Control-C when a map has focus will copy the image into the
clipboard.
