Yaesu's behave the same, regardless of what their documentation says about deleting the oldest message when a new one is received.

According to aprs.fi's raw packets, KC0QLU-9 is a Yaesu FTM-400 (>APY400).  APRS radios reject messages when their unread message queue is full.   That operator needs to read and/or clear their messages before you will get an ack from a new message to him/her.
