New User Introduction and Questions
Hello group,
Name is Scott/kc8kbk. I'm brand new to APRS, and am using APRSISCE with my Kenwood th-d72a. I've successfully downloaded the software, run it, and interfaced my radio. My question is... where do I go from here? Is there a user guide that walks a newb though basic functionality, like how to send a message, let others in my area know I'm monitoring or join a net? Thanks and 73, Scott kc8kbk South Florida. |

Pretty much the entire users guide for APRSIS32 (originally APRSISce/32 so the group is APRSISCE) is on the WIKI (http://aprsisce.wikidot.com/). This allows you to search for any aspect you want to experiment with. The other "MOST VALUABLE RESOURCE" is this message group. Ask questions. Answers seem to come fairly quickly on here, and Lynn (the author) is VERY active here. Robert Giuliano

Here's a google answer... APRSThursday is a net. Every Thursday you can join it thru ANSRVR. Every Thursday, you can send a message as:
The bot will send back a message to say that you're joined. During 24 hours you can interact with APRS around the world. James VE6SRV On Mon, Dec 12, 2022 at 8:15 AM Craig T. Bailey, N1SFT <craig.t.bailey@...> wrote: what is "APRS Thursdays" ? |
