PISTAR
Hi All.
Can you tell me what server filter string I can use to remove all the infernal PIStar please. Many thanks 😎 |

We have to know some examples of "the infernal PIStar" stations
that you want to remove. Otherwise we're guessing at just what
you don't want to see. Lynn (D) - KJ4ERJ - Author of APRSISCE

My guess is all of the red and black diamonds that I dealt with a while ago, unfortunately I'm not able to log into that machine to get the filter I use. If you dig through the ground messages about D-Star objects in a thread with me in it you may find what you're looking for Adam KC2ANT On Sat, Oct 29, 2022, 15:58 Lynn Deffenbaugh <kj4erj@...> wrote:

Darren, If you add "-s//a&/D" to your filter it should remove the red/black diamonds from your screen. Adam KC2ANT

Thanks Adam. I did filter +t/p m/500 +d/TCPIP -t/o -t/i -u/APDG*/APOS and that removed the lot of em! HA |

That's a bit of a draconian filter though. In particular, the -t/o -t/i will eliminate ALL objects and items from your feed. And the + terms only apply to filters internal to APRSISCE/32. The + modifier is not recognized (as far as I know) by the actual APRS-IS servers like javaprssrv and aprsc. I suspect that the -u/APDG*/APOS (does that last really not need
a *?) is probably sufficient for your use. Lynn (D) - KJ4ERJ - Author of APRSISCE
