Beacon Time-Only yields Time of (Time 0:00:00)
KD7YZ Bob <kd7yz@...>
So, I have Genius-Beaco9ning set at 5/15 Mins and Time-Only Checked.
I have GPS Disabled since I am a fixed-location, Home. However, when the beacon fires I see what's below.: 1:Fm KD7YZ-15 To APWW10 Via WIDE2-2 <UI pid=F0 Len=34 >[06:21:48] =3829.65N/08300.99W-(Time 0:00:00) I go back and forth, in this APRS learning curve, of allowing a beacon and not-allowing any form of beacon from either the program, or from the Kenwood D710. Maybe it's moot point and I don't need a beacon in a rather unpopulated portion of the country. Well, OK, there is upstate Nevada, Wyoming ...hmmmm GM and thanks for any replies. -- KD7YZ Bob EM88LL

Next time it ask for you to respond, select ‘Never’ rather than “yes” or ‘no’.

Re: APRSIS 32

Hi Lynn.
The call is VE7LDR and exactly every 15 min. it sends me a TACTICAL alert. It just keeps going till I get a message saying low memory on the computer. If I don't clear it every few days, program crashes.I will try and attach a pic of the options available to me. The options I have are "Yes" "Always" "No" . If you can tell me where the "Never" button is, it would be much appreciated.

Re: APRSIS 32

Don't say "No", say "Never". "No" answers the immediate one. "Never" will not even queue up new ones. Can you tell me who the source call is? I'd really like to know
what s/he's sending that can crash APRSIS32. Lynn (D) - KJ4ERJ - Author of APRSISCE

Re: APRSIS32 wont TX SMSGTE message
Lynn Deffenbaugh
APRSISCE/32 will only transmit a message on RF if the target
station was recently heard on RF. You can always force it to RF
using the checkbox towards the bottom of the chat. See http://aprsisce.wikidot.com/message-retries
in particular the next-to-last and last paragraphs. Lynn (D) - KJ4ERJ - Author of APRSISCE

Saving configuration across restart
Gil
I really did try to look this up but I couldn't figure out how to express what I wanted to find in a way that found it...
When I start the software, it is usually not full screen and it has the default map tiles displayed. I always have to change it to what I want. I just can't remember how to force it to remember that configuration and use it the next time the program starts up. I seem to recall it has something to do with how you exit, but I can't come up with it. I presume the instructions for what to display are within the .xml file and I'm not averse to tinkering with that, but I thought there was a way to do it "automatically" without having to edit the .xml file. Please, help me... A mind is a terrible thing to lose. Thanks. Gil, WB2UTI

Sorry Pat, my brain glitched...Didn't read the HF part. The radio I referenced was a 2m/440 mobile that was dual-band + APRS output. Eric K9LGE

Yes, the location of Me is what is used for the posits from APRSIS32. And with the GPS disabled, it should be transmitted based on Time only.
