You may just wire RTS to CTS if you built your own cable. Ithink I have that right anyway. Basically the idea is to make the TNC think thePC is always ready. I would be surprised if this hasn't been

Thanks Lynn, that's good information. I was concerned because there seemed to be a lot of stations like this. At first I was getting a blue screen on the map until I zoomed out and realized I was

My interpretation of the KPC3+ v8.2 manual is ifXFLOW is ON, hardware handshaking is ignored. But of course if you can't connectbecause it is OFF then the cable may need jumpers. A hard reset will set

Lynn and Kenny -
I got my Kantronics 9612+ in KISS mode working with APRSIS32 build "2010/03/04 08:08" this morning. Here are some observations (may be unique to my situation) that may be of value

Re: TT4 and APRSIS/32
Thanks
Thanks to all for your help. I have the TT4 working with /32. It appears
that my RXAMP settings were not holding when I exited the emulator.
Probably something I did. It is working. Now

Of K3RWN
APRSIS32, but it does not seem to be working.
I do not have a GPS connected. Should I?
You don't need a GPS connected to the TT4 or APRSIS32. You can set your
position within the TT4 if you

Check the last updated time of those stations in aprs.fi. APRSISCE/32 remembers ALL station that it has heard in one operating session, regardless of whether or not a position packet has been

Invalid Positions
Hi,
I am using RF only and I noticed on the map there are some stations in black. When I click on a station and center it the map shows it off the coast of Africa. The lat and long are in zeros.

Re: Minor details.
I have found from using other software that gathers a plethora of tiles that have them off the root work well. For one reason alone, when I am searching for a picture, I can search "My Documents"

Thanks for the reminder. I was not planning on connecting both to APRS-IS anyway, but it is good to know.
Best regards,
Fred

Re: Minor details.
Yep, confirmed. Even though the config file supported up to [MAX_PATH], my OSM layer was limited to [64]. This would be:
1 2 3 4 5 6

Success with TNC! Sort of.....
I downloaded TeraTerm Pro tonight and was able to talk to my TNC just fine, which really makes it a bigger mystery as to why UI-View32 was not working. It's easy to see that it's got to be a Win7

Oh, and you'll want to edit your XML file (http://aprsisce.wikidot.com/editing-xml-configuration) to point all of the instances to a single copy of the OSMTiles directory tree.
