OK Randy, I have dutifully followed the outline u sent ( this one on this page is the same if anyone else asks).
Now to see if my PSTRotator progream will setr the Rx on the D710GA to match the Sat

The only issue I see with that cable is that it has a straight data connector rather the 90 degree connector of the Kenwood stock cable (which of course these days usually requires a serial-USB

I've learned from hard experience that you need to connect the data cable to the Control Head, NOT the radio body when using APRS (specifically APRSIS32). The TNC resides in the control

I've only used the head comm port for Winlink Express. I used the data port on the body for everything else.

I am running a Dell machine with Windows 10.
Connected to the Dell via the supplied accessory cable supplied by Kenwood and is connected to the D710 on the back of the control head then to a USB port

After restarting APRSISCE/32, you have to look at About to see that you are running the Development version and to allow it to download the latest version. After that restart, Control-O

I have tried everything. I got the notepad finally and changed the update development to one but after trying ctrl O for satellite forecasting I still get block. Does anyone have capability to remote

Not sure if anyone replied, but it is as simple as:
(Assuming windows)
0. Close APRSIS32 (or make sure it is closed)
editing the file while open will not work as it gets overwritten on close
1.

Find the pertinent .xml file, APRSIS32.
Open with Notepad. Find, by using Ctrl+F tool,
for the <> made be a prior poster. Make the edit, save, start the program.

OK, good to know. I've used both here without issue, but then again, maybe it did change some things in the file that affects APRSis32 in a bad way. I'll use NotePad from now on.
