Re: It Works GREAT!
Set your HF radio dial to 10.147.60, USB mode. Set SoundModem to 300 baud AFSK, centered at 1700hz. Also, there's VERY active conventional HF packet on dial freq 14.105.00 in LSB mode, and dial freq 7.109.50 LSB mode. Same 300-baud AFSK at 1700hz.

Re: It Works GREAT!

If you double-click that narrow vertical bar, it will give you the raw numbers. The level of the bar and the colors are a red-herring based on a much earlier version of APRSISCE/32 that actually had a limited station count capability. It would grow the bar as more stations became known and eventually turn red as it neared the top. That is still the behavior, but when the current station list size is hit, the size is expanded resulting in the bar going back down into the yellow (orange) or green. So, the bar really exists now only to be a double-click target to get at the detailed station count and configured age information. Specifically: Close Stations That whole bottom part about memory is
primarily for my use when debugging memory consumption (and
potential leak) issues.

Yahoo has been all messed up for me for geez ten years? When I go to a page like this it wants me to log in. I try to but it complains that the password does not match. So I try to do the help with password thing, to retrieve password. and I give it the info, and it tells me there is no such user using that E-Mail address. OK so I try to make a whole new account, and put in that exact same E-Mail address, and guess what? It tells me I can not use that E-Mail address because it is already in use. No such user, and already in use at the same time. so every group I do has been strictly via E-Mail. I was hoping to be able to read some of the already posts, to maybe get my questions answered there, but cant get in, so I guess I will have to ask Via the E-Mail even tho the question may have been just answered yesterday he he he Joe WB9SBD

http://aprsisce.wikidot.com/doc:screen-elements I believe you're asking about either 18 or 19. The one closer to
the map gives you station count and age configuration information
and the one to the outside right gives you battery status. Lynn (D) - KJ4ERJ - Author of APRSISCE for Windows Mobile and Win32

Re: APRS
Rob Giuliano
Even though you got confused, I'd still look at DireWolf. Ask questions on here and/or on their support group. From my experience, both have good support. In the APRSis32 menu choose >Configure >Ports >New Port ... In the popup: For >Type (combo box) choose AGW Name it what you like (say maybe 'DireWolf') Next popup is port type: TCP/IP Next popup is TCP configuration: localhost (if on the same computer, or you will have to give an IP or hostname) Port: 8000 For the DireWolf side, the biggest issue is the sound card identification. I typically run DireWolf to see the options (they are numbered). Then close direwolf and open direwolf.conf Change the ADEVICE # # to match your computer (input # then Output #) ACHANNELS 1 for mono mic input MYCALL You should be able to leave everything else as the defaults. NOTE: scroll down and make sure AGWPORT 8000 is not commented out If you have issues, post again, put include the DireWolf version and maybe the response from DireWolf on your sound card(s). Re: APRS

Both Lynn and Jeff have provided sound card modem programs and Jeff gave instructions on the APRSIS32 port type. I will add: You mention "monitoring" APRS, so if you are looking at receive only, A
simple RTL2832U Software Defined Radio dongle will work great for the
radio receiver, but as an IGATE, it is recommended that your station have TX capability. To add TX: If your radio does not have VOX, you will need a PTT circuit in order to get you radio to transmit. There are many options, but search the internet to see what those many options are, and find one that you can use. Robert Giuliano
