That sounds good to me thanks a lot I just got thrown this and the fun starts at 430 am tomorrow when I tested without internet I made a few fcc violations with my comments hihi

First thing is to make sure you have the latest version. Then, if you are using the default map, go to the main menu and click "Enables", and make sure "OSM Fetch Enabled" is check-marked.
Then in the menu, go to Configure>Map and be sure that "Purger Enabled" is NOT check-marked. If it's check-marked, it purges the map tiles when you close the program, so you have to download the tiles all over again when starting the program.
From what I understand, you'll need to zoom in and out of the map areas you plan to track, in order to automatically download the tiles for more resolution. After it's all downloaded, it should work when you're off-line. Someone might have better explanation or solution, though.

I'm planning a portable event and need aprs I've loaded aprsis32 and have the maps via internet. What do I need to set so it will work without internet I have a TNC running for the trackers but I wanted to make sure the maps saved on the local harddrive.

Re: Weather station not transmitting info
Fred Sanders
Let me add my comments here - I would also like to get my weather data transmitted on RF and internet using aprsisce and my call sign wk1f-2, not as an object. I have the weather data being sent as WXnow.txt. I have been using another program (winaprs) for years, but lately I have not been able to get the TCP/IP connected. This is a great program, maybe someone has found the way.
Thanks, Fred

You were correct. SARTrack can do it. There seems to be a few bugs but it is workable. Thanks for the information.

Kenwood TH-D72 problem showing APRSISCE WX data
masterjagarn@...
Hi, I have been running APRSISCE32 for a while on an old WinXP computer and it is a real nice and stable application. I have configured my home station to transmit weather data according to the instructions. The weather data is transmitted to internet and to RF. (See SA3PJN-2 and SA3PJN-WX). The wx-data i received correctly in my Yaesu FT2D and Yaesu FTM400, but in my Kenwood TH-D72 the wx data is not shown as weather data with the icons and values formatted to my local settings (Celsius, m/s etc.). The wx-data is received as an APRS object and I can see the raw weather data but it is not shown in the weather view of the Kenwood Th-D72. My Kenwood radio program has version MAIN: V1.07, TNC:V1.00. I checked and there is new MAIN version 1.08 but it has just a minor fix for station identification, so the radio should have a program version capable of receiving all APRS messages. The received wx-APRS message in my Th-D72 looks something like this: OBJECT<-SA3PJN-2 027/003g008t037r000p001P001h66b10021 When I check a received wx message from another station that formats the weather data correctly it looks something like this: WEATHER 027/003g008t037r000p001P001h66b10021 Can I change the settings in APRSISCE to get it to work on Kenwood TH-D72 or is it a problem with the radio software? Best regards Patrik SA3PJN

UTM Coordinates
James Myers
Hi everyone, I have been using aprsisce for a while now. Our club recently started getting involved with a new K9 SAR group. We are going to start providing communications support for them. We had our first exercise this past weekend and they record coordinates in UTM not in lat/lon. They also use a tool called SARTopo for the maps and it used UTM. I did manage to be download maps for offline usage but cannot figure out if aprsisce has the ability to report in UTM. If it can, can someone point me in the right direction. And if it cannot, has anyone used a tool that can work with APRS and provide UTM coordinates? Thanks, have a great week. Mike K3DO

Apple doesn't support the Bluetooth SPP (Serial Port Profile) feature from iOS which is required to communicate with the current MobilinkD TNC. Therefore there cannot be any software that will provide such access from Apple iPhones.

Re: Mobile Tracker & Mobile I-Gate in Tandem
Rob Giuliano
Assuming your TT4 has a GPS connected, you need to pass the GPS data through the TT4 the computer port, then tell APRSISce/32 (APRSIS32) to look for the GPS data. Assuming the A-port is connected to the APRSIS32 computer and the TT4 is in KISS mode to communicate with APRSIS32, the TT4 settings needed: AMODE KISS ABAUD 19200 GKRelay 8 (any value > 0 will work) Now in APRSIS32, you need to open the Port you are connected to. From Menu >Configure >Ports >TT4 (or the name you used) Now check the box next to "GPS/NMEA" to tell the app GPS data is there. Next Enable using that GPS: Menu > Enables >GPS Enabled You should see list of satellites across the bottom and the box at the top left with GPS information. Robert Giuliano KB8RCO

Re: Mobile Tracker & Mobile I-Gate in Tandem
Adam Mahnke
Where is the GPS hooked up?
You either need to use APRSIS32 to run everything through the tt4 with the GPS hooked up to the laptop
Or
Have beaconing turned off on APRSIS32 and have the GPS pass through from the tt4 to the software.
There should be some documentation on the wiki about how to do that
I've done what you're trying with a D710 successfully for quite some time.
