By the way, at the top of the APRSIS32 screen, it says "TNC-X Delay"...

How do I get the APRSISCE software and pass code my e-mail address is jcarpen215@.... 73's KA2BRH

APRSIS32 TNC-X under Linux Mint with Wine

na4it

I have this setup according to https://g6pde.wordpress.com/2016/02/28/install-aprsis32-on-linux-mint/.

However, I get no receive and no transmit.

I did get YAAC to work one time, then it stopped.

HELP!

Re: PK-232

I checked your raw packets at aprs.fi and it shows that you have not received any RF stations.  May I suggest that you connect a terminal emulator to your PK-232 and watch for received packets.   In KISS mode, you will not be able to read the headers, but the APRS payloads are humanly readable.

Once you see decoded packets coming in from the PK-232, a Simply(Kiss) port in APRSISCE/32 should have no issues communicating.

Just make sure you don't run the emulator and APRSISCE/32 at the same time as Windows doesn't support sharing access to COMM ports.

Are you receiving packets from the RF port?  You can tell this in multiple ways:

1) Packets in the scroller show up with * on them
2) Double-clicking the narrow vertical bar just to the right of the map shows RF-heard counts
3) View / None followed by View / RF / All shows stations (besides ME) on the map.

As for the "Move ME to center", that will not appear if you are already centered on ME.  But even saying "No" to that will still transmit your currently known location which it seems to have done.

also nobody needs a passcode on a urgent need, aprsisce is not for emergency/urgent needs. Well I guess someone can get impatient when they are on a roll with aprs...

It seems to me that everyone is NOT addressing the elephant in the room and that is amateurs will get frustrated when they do not hear back promptly and will then go looking for a way to work around the problem. If you really want to keep it solely in the hands of the Authors then I would contact the person or persons that are providing a work around to stop providing the work around,

As a moderator I have eyes on glass from about 5AM Pacific time until late evening, I for one do not leave requests that have been made overnight.
If a request has been made incorrectly I usually email straight back for the required info as I am sure do the other moderators.

Yahoo Groups does have issues from time to time, but I strongly suspect that most Passcodes not received have actually ended up in the requester's  spam box!
As I have already found out that some on this list do not understand, sent in a plain brown wrapper or  sent offlist, I will further explain that eyes on glass is my PC monitor and not an egg timer.
Thank you for your kind understanding,
