Do I "simply" cut and paste after assuring I have backed up the current file? Do I delete from the first < to the last > in the currently installed file. Beyond the instruction on the APRSIS website, is there anything else I need to be mindful of to assure I maintain file integrity/syntax so the above referenced new file works. Appreciate any assistance. For some reason the copy from current operation program didn't paste very well into this email. Scott/AE7RO

Reply back to me answers to the following questions: Where did you get the APRSISMO.apk? Do you get a hydra image overtop of a zero level map of the planet from OSM before it hangs? Does your tablet have an internal GPS? Lynn (D) - KJ4ERJ - Author of APRSISCE for Windows Mobile and Win32

I downloaded and installed the APRSIS to my Toshiba Thrive Tablet. It installed but when I attempt to run it all I get is a message that says wait or stop. If I click wait after a few seconds the msg reappears. JoAnn Donaldson AB8YZ

Re: Proportional Pathing
Robert Bruninga
Proportional Pathing is primarily an advantage for mobile stations. It gives them a 1 minute refresh rate in the short range direct area, and only every 2 minutes does a packet go via a digipeater, and only every 4 minutes does one go via 2 hops. This Drastically cuts down the channel load while still preserving 1 minute rates close-by where mobiles see each other. In that sense it is far better than smart beaconing not only for mobile-to-mobile awareness but also to lower channel loading. Bob

I don't even remember if I have it on the ToDo list. There's lots
of things more likely to appear in APRSISCE/32 than Proportional
Pathing.

Proportional Pathing
kd0sml@...
I'm fairly new to APRS and am absorbing a little at a time. My latest study item is "proportional pathing". I see conversations about it from 2010 and 2011 but do not see support for it in APRSIS32. Is this (Proportional Pathing) something that may be implemented in APRSISCE/32 or should I forget about being able to play with it at some time n the future? Thanks for all your efforts and for a great product!!! Ron Elliott KD0SML

To move an object, first center/follow the object. Pan/zoom the map
until you see where you want to put it. Right click that location
and select the Lat/Lon cascading menu. From there, you should have
an option to Move Xxxxxx HERE.

I had shut everything down last night in anticipation of a power loss sometime through the storm, but amazingly (thanks to Florida Power and Light) our power is still on! I restarted everything at 6:30am, but neglected to fire up the SATSRV which I just did, so all should be running now.
