All is good here so far. I had shut everything down last night in anticipation of a power loss sometime through the storm, but amazingly (thanks to Florida Power and Light) our power is still on! I restarted everything at 6:30am, but neglected to fire up the SATSRV which I just did, so all should be running now.

It looks like Lynn has lost power, so some things such as ANSRVR will not be
working. He did send me a file to get a backup system working, but I am not sure where he sent it, to an old account probably. I am hoping he can send again or point me to where it is. Best of luck Lynn Steve G6UIM

First off I would like to thank Lynn KJ4ERJ. If he had not written
APRSISCE32 I would probably not be doing what I am. When I first started using the software I was one of 3 people in the South West of England to have an APRS system running. It took a while but things have picked up a lot. I realised quickly that the system would be very handy for emergency use in our area, we have an area that is lovely (Dartmoor)in good weather, but good turns to very bad in minutes. I promoted the system by doing talks on APRS, and got asked by the Radio Amateurs Emergency network (RAYNET) if I could provide a cross band APRS system. Thanks to a couple of local Amateurs I managed to get a site that is the highest in the area and used APRSISCE32 with 2 instances linked together. MB7VT-2 and -7 Encouraged by the response I set up GB7TQ and GB7IE repeaters, they can be linked. And Priority is Emergency use. I am working on getting local rescues group to use the system. A huge thanks to Lynn for starting me on the trip Steve G6UIM P.S> big thanks to my Grandfather into radio, and my dad for getting me into clocks

APRSISMO Release
Lynn Deffenbaugh
I've pushed out a new APRSISMO.apk that uses OpenStreetMap's tile servers. My own tile server is likely going to be down for the next few days as is my web server that normally distributes the .apk. The link below should get you a copy directly from DropBox.
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/74000021/APRSISMO.apk Lynn (D) - KJ4ERJ - Author of APRSISCE for Windows Mobile and Win32 PS. I tried to push it into the APRSISDR Yahoo groups file section, but their limit is 10MB.

we're hunkered down and supplied up.I see that brick building ain't going anywhere, those metal window coverings look like you are all set. I was talking with a Floridian few years ago, he said all the debris we see on TV are from mobile homes but the brick buildings stay put (which are not shown because there is no action). Stay safe, rest of us can hold off for any aprsisce questions. Mike K6MFW

Hurricane status
Lynn Deffenbaugh
As some of you may already know, Hurricane Matthew is bearing down on my QTH. As a result, I totally expect to be completely without power for several days (weeks?) starting sometime tonight. The update server will be unavailable and if any of you are using my ldeffenb.dnsalias.net map tile server, it will also be down.
I will be releasing an updated APRSISMO.apk that will use the OSM tile servers instead of my local server. Watch for it in the APRSISDR Yahoo group Files section. If you want to watch Matthew approach, add an o/MATT* term to your filter! And a b/KJ4ERJ* if you want to see my QTH in relation on the east coast of Florida. Lynn (D) - KJ4ERJ - Author of APRSISCE for Windows Mobile and Win32 PS. If you put 32909 in as a zip code at weather.com, you can see the hourly wind speed forecast between 8:00pm tonight (Eastern) and 4:00pm tomorrow afternoon.

APRSIS32 works on XP and newer in my experience.
Unzip EXE into a directory outside of the Windows space. I put mine in a directory off the root.

ISS pass was perfectly (within a second) aligned between APRSIS32
and Gpredict. They appear to agree on the next pass (ok, 4 seconds
earlier for APRSIS32)...
