Re: Windows 10

I run it on Windows 10 32 on two computers and Windows 10 64 on two computers and it works great.

Will APRSIS32.exe run on a Windows 10, 32/64 OS?

Can a moderator please send me a passcode for me to use aprsis32.exe on my Windows 7 Service Pack 1 64 bit OS?  Can this passcode be used on any PC/OS that I have?

Thank you  73

Windows 8 64bit works.  Not sure why Windows 10 64 bit wouldn't work.

Re: Serial Port Problem

Tim Rynearson

The issue has been resolved. I was neglecting to put in a baud rate when setting up the port. Once I did that, all was well.

Brad,
If you have nothing to offer, please refrain from posting.

Thank you.

Fire up a terminal program.Put the D710 in "packet"
mode and see if you can talk to the TNC. This will
verify the com port and speed settings.

I'm using a Keyspan USB/serial adapter
Look in the device manager to confirm that there
isn't a problem with the driver, and of course the
com port, which you will need before you fire up
the terminal program.

If it works OK in a terminal program, look at the
commands that you are using to put it in KISS mode.

Serial Port Problem

Tim Rynearson

First of all, I sure wish Yahoo hadn't taken away the search function. The answer I'm looking for is probably back there somewhere in the history. But that's not something that can be resolved here.
Anyway, on with my dilemma. On a Windows XP machine, every time I attempt to enable the serial port, either TM-D710 or KISS mode, as soon as I click the accept button, it freezes my computer. And I mean EVERYTHING freezes up. I can't even do a control-alt-delete to bring up the task manager to do a restart. I have to do a power-down reboot to get it working again. I might also mention that I'm using a Keyspan USB/serial adapter (that I've not had any issues with).
Your thoughts ? .....Annnd go...

But the point is, very easy to setup and run crossband Digipeat using APRSISCE32

If anyone is interested I will write a Wiki entry

It digipeats one to the other works very well. Does require running 2 APRSCE32 though

Taking advantage of additional resources is always interesting...

Is it digipeating everything, only packets with hops remaining, or
some other scheme?

With DIGI_NED it took a half dozen rules to get everything heard on
one channel resent on another. Ah that was fun times.

Sometimes answers are provided before reading a complete thread. That is a problem with receiving emails, answering and then reading more. I venture a guess that many if not most of us receive emails rather than log into Yahoo. I know I do.

And sometimes others have their own answers regardless of the original poster.

Best regards,

Users always want to change the colors. Could even have different
color themes for different use modes... It's a little part of what
makes it fun.
