Those are the packets generated by your IGate and are only indirectly related to the gating activity.

You have Configure / Status enabled with Timestamp checked but not GridSquare.  If you're beaconing a position (and you are) then it is best NOT to check GridSquare because then you'd be transmitting two different precision locations and some APRS clients will ping-pong your station between them.

That's your posit packet.  Various portions of this are configured via Configure / Beacon.  You might want to set your Configure / Beacon / Mic-E Notification to None (you current have it as !INSERVICE!) as that doesn't really communicate anything helpful when using non-Mic-E posits.

That's your IGate status message that says that you have copied 13 stations locally, 4 of them direct, and 1 additional station is beyond the "local" range.  You have not gated any messages from the -IS to RF and the furthest station you've recently copied is N4NE-2 which is 45 miles away at 196 degrees.

Subject: [APRSISCE] Other type Packets
Totally new to APRS - I setup an iGATE with APRIS and a TT4 and am receiving a number of packets, but I believe I saw that only position packets will get gated to IS?  I am seeing the position packets nearby get sent to IS and show up on my "stations heard direct" in

How can I look at the other packets and see what king of packets they are and if they are position packets why they are not being sent to IS?

TIA & 73,

Don W.
