The Development version is very stable, but you should be informed and make the decision.

Hi Jason,

The latest updated version is from November 2018.  Did you install the 2012 version?  To get the update, you need to install the 2012 version first.

Make sure you install it in the root C: somewhere, not Windows' default "Programs" directory... otherwise it won't work properly.   Something like C:\HAM\APRS or whatever you like.

After you install and run it, zoom in to where your QTH is and click Transmit up on the menu to set your location.  Close the program.  Go to the directory where you installed it, open the "APRSIS32.XML" file in a text editor, scroll down to the line "<Update.Development>0Update.Development>" and change the "0" to a "1".   (It's way down almost at the bottom of the file).

Save and close the file, and run the program again.  Go to "About" in the menu, and a choice will open up to download the updated version.

Another tip: go to the Configure>Map menu and un-check "Purger Enabled".  Otherwise, it won't save the downloaded map tiles as you pan and zoom around the map.  (Make sure "Internet Access and OSM Fetch are enabled in the Enables menu.)

Hi, I just joined this group and see some recent posts about a bug, and a latest APRSISCE version dated in 2018.  But in the files section of this group site, the latest version is from 2012.  Links to also indicate a most recent release of 2012.  Is there a version of APRSISCE newer than 2012?
